Target Email Scam

TARGET EMAIL SCAM: If you got an email from Target last week about the store’s recent mega security breach, be careful. Target did indeed send out emails offering customers one year of free credit monitoring, but scammers are also on the prowl and are sending out similar emails. Target says it has identified and stopped at least 12 scams preying on customers via email, Facebook and other ways. To make sure the email you received from Target is legitimate, check out what it should look like here: http://tgt.biz/1hfzkTl . If your email doesn’t match you should not click any links on it or give any personal information. Security experts warn that if your data was compromised in the data breach it’s not just Target that customers needs to worry about, but also scammers posing as other retailers or even the IRS. (Yahoo)
