As we wrap up 2020 I am also wrapping up my time in radio. As all radio people know, you never really leave, but I won’t be working here at Z95.1 full-time anymore after December 30th! I’ve been in radio since I was 19, so let’s just say it’s been a few years. Radio has always been good to me and I will miss my co-workers so much and the friends that I’ve made along the way. I’ll miss getting to talk to you on the air every day.

Why am I leaving? I don’t know about you, but this year has been a weird one and it gave me way too much time to think. I decided that I needed a change, a chance to grow and do something different. I’m ready to use the skills that I’ve gained and the things that I’ve learned and apply it in another avenue.

What am I doing next? I have been hired by Harper’s Allstate Insurance here in C’ville and I’ll be working out of the Zion Crossroads office. The past couple of months I have been studying to obtain my insurance license so that I can help you with homeowners, auto, life and health insurance. I’m learning so much and realizing how confusing insurance can be. I’ve always given my time to help others, but I never knew, until now, how much I could help people in this capacity.

I’m very excited for this new venture and would consider it a privilege to help you with your insurance needs, even if it’s just information. I truly want you to be prepared for your future.

Until then!
