Shoes!!!

It’s not a secret that I love shoes. Flats, boots, heels, sneakers, you name it, I want it!! After all you have to have just the right pair of shoes to go with every outfit!

It wasn’t until about 4 years ago that I started experiencing pain in my legs and feet. I couldn’t figure out what was causing it until a friend said, “it’s probably your shoes.” Long story, short…it took me a long time to believe her! She was right! Now, I’m much more aware of my feet and what I put on them.

So, how happy was I when I found OESH Shoes?? Created right here in C’ville! Dr Casey Kerrigan is a Harvard grad and a former UVA professor AND she created OESH Shoes!! She has done hundreds of hours of research on the way women walk and carry themselves and she determined that most shoes are made incorrectly, especially for women!

My biggest problem was my toe. It was bothering me on a daily basis. I wanted to see if Dr Kerrigan’s shoes could help me, so I wore a pair of OESH sandals all summer.  You know what I discovered? Whenever I wore the OESH shoes, my toe didn’t hurt. However, as soon as I put a regular pair of shoes on, my toe hurt the entire time I was wearing them. The good news is that the longer I wore the OESH shoes, the more I benefited from them. It would take less time to recover from wearing a non OESH pair of shoes. Pretty cool.

Are you having similar issues? Give OESH shoes a try. Dr Kerrigan (Casey) and the fabulous Maggie are in the store every Saturday from 12-3 and by appointment at other times. They can answer questions and even give you a tour! The store is on Dale St in C’ville. Check out the inventory!
