Q: The temperature of this affects how likely you are to cooperate w/others?

A: Your palms

THE TEMPERATURE OF YOUR PALMS AFFECTS HOW LIKELY YOU ARE TO COOPERATE WITH OTHERS: For a warmer heart you need warmer hands. New research reveals that people asked to hold hot objects in their hands were more likely to cooperate with other people compared to those holding something cold. Researchers say it’s probably because the area of the brain responsible for processing friendliness to others is the same part of the brain that deals with physical warmth. Researchers say, “We suspect that simply by giving someone a sensation of warmth they are more likely to cooperate under other circumstances.” The experts say this is why giving a customer a hot drink in a supermarket or other store works to the benefit of retailers. (Daily Mail)
