One expert notes that tattoo removal is painful, and may feel like a rubber band is being snapped at the skin. Dr. Anthony Youn advises to think hard about getting a permanent reminder for what may be a temporary feeling and that if you do commit to a tattoo, to make sure the tattoo parlor is licensed and clean and that the needles and ink are sterile.
