Q: The average American spends $1200 a year on this?

A: fast food

THE AVERAGE AMERICAN SPENDS $1,200 A YEAR ON FAST FOOD: How often do you dine under the golden arches? New research finds the typical American spends about $1,200 a year on fast food. To find this, researchers studied one thousand U.S. adults. They found the average adult gets fast food twice a week, paying about $12.50 per meal. Researchers also found seven percent of participants said they eat fast food every day or almost every day, while seven out of ten said they opt for fast food three times a week. The most common excuses people gave for eating fast food were that they were always busy, that it’s easy to serve to a family, and that it “tastes better than home cooking.” Two-thirds said they have tried to cut down on the amount of fast food they eat. (Daily Mail)
