Q: New study says that 3 in 4 Americans prefer politicians that can do this. What?

A: Compromise

We heard of a study yesterday that found three-in-four Americans say they like leaders who are willing to compromise — but, at the same time, two-thirds also say they like politicians who stick to their positions, even if unpopular. When people are asked which kind of leaders they admire most, a slim majority (51%) think more highly of political leaders who make compromises, while 40% most admire those who stick to their positions. Who makes the better leader, someone who compromises, or someone who sticks to their positions?
