Q: New study finds that people who do this are better at remembering names.

A: Stare at faces

PEOPLE WHO STARE AT FACES ARE BETTER AT REMEMBERING NAMES: A new study finds that people are better at remembering the names of other people if they study their faces. To find this, researchers tracked the eye movements of 40-people as they were shown random faces and names. They found that both men and women looked at the eyes, nose and mouth when viewing a face for the first time, but that women spent longer scanning the features of the face, and in turn were 12-percent more likely to correctly recall the name corresponding to the face. Researchers say this may happen because the more time one spends studying the face the more landmarks they have in their memory to remind them of who they are looking at the next time.
