Q: New research from the University of Chicago finds that doing this while you’re out may be annoying, but it’s actually good for you?

A: waiting in line

STANDING IN LINE IS GOOD FOR YOU: New research from the University of Chicago finds that waiting in line may be annoying, but it’s actually good for you. Researchers tested a group of participants and found that those who waited in longer lines gained patience and made better decisions. One researcher said, “People tend to value things more in the present and discount their worth in the future. But my research suggests that making people wait to make a decision can improve their patience because the process of waiting makes the reward for waiting seem more valuable.” (Daily Mail)
