Q: New research finds that women spend about 2 months of their lives doing this?

A: Talking to their mom on the phone

WOMEN SPEND TWO MONTHS OF LIFE TALKING TO THEIR MOMS ON THE PHONE: When was the last time you called your mom? New research finds that women spend about two months of their lives chatting on the phone with their mothers. The study looked at two thousand women and found that the average woman calls her mother three times a week, with each conversation lasting an average of just over 16 minutes. That works out to 28 hours a year, or almost two months between the ages of 18 and 50. Researchers say the most commonly discussed topics between mother and daughter are family issues, children, work and health issues. More than two percent of women said they call their mom at least once a day, and 13 percent admit their conversations last at least half and hour each time they call. Researchers say, “It’s interesting to see that women still spend a large chunk of their time talking to their moms on the phone– despite all the other means of communication that exist now. Many moms and daughters have a close relationship and can chat for hours.” (Daily Mail)
