A: close friends.
WE HAVE THE MOST FRIENDS AT AGE 26: How many close friends do you have? If you’re over age 26 that number could be dwindling. New data shows that on average, our social circle peaks when we are 26 years and seven months old when we typically have five close friends. Women are most popular at 25 years and ten months, while men hit their friendship high point at 27 years and three months of age. A survey by a U.K. greeting card company Forever Friends reveals that 36 percent of adults say they met their closest friends while at school, while 22 percent say they met them at work. Relationship coach with Forever Friends, Sam Owen, says, “It is no coincidence that over a third of us meet our best friends at school. It is a key time in our lives where friendships are grown through sharing notes, giving gifts, seeing each other regularly and laughing a lot. As adults we can often forget how powerful these small things are.” (Daily Mail)
