According to a new survey, 25% of women and 20% of men say if their significant other surprises them with a gift, they immediately assume something’s WRONG.

Here are the five most common things they assume.

  1. The other person is cheating on them.
  1. It’s a bribe.
  1. The other person did something wrong they haven’t found out about yet.
  1. They’re about to get bad news.
  1. It’s just a re-gift they got from someone else.
