SHOULD MORE AMERICANS BE BILINGUAL? (Rasmussen Reports)
A poll of one thousand U.S. adults reveals the following:
— 76% of Americans say it’s at least somewhat important to know how to speak a second language in order to get ahead in the modern world, including 30 percent who think it is very important.
— 23% don’t consider a second language important
— that includes 5% who say being bilingual is not at all important.
