Q: According to a Match.com poll, 4% of people say the hardest thing about a breakup is this?

A: getting your stuff back

More relationships end during the winter (that’s right now) than any other time of the year. At least, that’s the word from Match.com, which conducted a survey and learned that 38% of all breakups by singles occur in the dreary months of winter.

  • By contrast only 15% of relationships break up in the spring.
  • About 23% break-up in the summer and fall.
  • 63% of break-ups are initiated by women.
  • 37% of Americans think breaking up by e-mail is acceptable and 9% have ended a relationship that way.
  • Finally, 4% say the hardest part of breaking up is getting back your stuff.
