Most women would give up sex for a new wardrobe. That’s the word from a survey of 1000 women in ten U.S. cities by Unilever. Women on average say they would be willing to give up sex for 15 months for a closet full of new apparel. 2% said they would become celibate for three years in exchange for all those new clothes.   • 61% said it would be worse to lose their favorite article of clothing than give up sex for a month.
  • The average woman between 18-54 has kept her favorite article of clothing for 12.5 years, which is one year longer than she has stayed in her longest love relationship.
  • 70% said they believed in love at first sight — that is, when it comes to finding the perfect article of clothing. This compares to 54% who say they are that confident in spotting Mr. Right at first sight.
  • 48% said their favorite article of clothing was more reliable than their man when it comes to giving them confidence and making them feel sexy.
