AMERICANS ON CHILDHOOD VACCINATIONS (Harris Interactive)
A poll of 2,306 U.S. adults reveals the following:
— 77% said they favor childhood vaccinations being mandatory for all children
— 69% said they don’t think unvaccinated children should be allowed to attend either public or private schools
— 89% feel it’s important children be vaccinated
— 90% say vaccinations should be provided for free to children whose families cannot afford them
— 91% of those polled said they feel vaccinations safeguard against diseases which might be brought into our country from abroad
— 89% say they are effective at preventing diseases
— 83% say that non-vaccinated children can represent a public health risk
