AMERICANS ON PUBLIC LIBRARIES (Harris Interactive)

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month! Harris Interactive polled 2,306 U.S. adults about public libraries and here’s what they found:
— 24% of U.S. adults said they are “extemely” satisfied with their public library
— 42% said they are “very” satisfied
— 20% are “somewhat” satisfied
— 64% said they have a library card, including 71% of women and 57% of men.
— Also, 70% of people with children younger than 18 said they had a library card, compared to 68% of those with kids age 18+, and 60% of those without kids.
