Q: A new survey found 80% of people have had road rage in the last year and as a result 3% of people did this?

A: Rammed another car on purpose

A new survey by Triple-A found 80% of us have had road rage at least once in the past year.  And men are way worse about it than women . . . they’re three times more likely to get out of their car and actually confront another driver.

Here are eight more stats from the survey . . .

  1. 51% of us have tailgated someone on purpose.
  1. 47% have yelled at another driver.
  1. 45% have honked at someone because they were angry.
  1. 33% have made an angry gesture, like giving someone the finger.
  1. 24% have tried to block another car from changing lanes.
  1. 12% have cut someone off on purpose.
  1. 4% have gotten out of their car to confront another driver.
  1. And 3% have bumped or RAMMED another car on purpose.

The survey also found two out of three people think road rage is a bigger problem than it was just three years ago.  And 90% agree it’s a serious threat to their personal safety.
