Q: A new study found that a man’s dad is stronger than him when it comes to this?

A: Hand strength

A new study found that men’s hands today are WEAKER than their fathers’ hands, or hands from any previous generation of men.

The average guy today who’s between 20 years old and 34 gripped something with 98 pounds of force.  In the same study 30 years ago, the average man squeezed with 117 pounds of force.

The reason for the decrease in hand strength is pretty obvious:  Men from previous generations were much more likely to do jobs involving manual labor than men today.

Women’s grip strength hasn’t really changed over the past 30 years . . . it basically caught up with men.
