Q: A new book reveals that introverts preparing for an important morning event should not do this?

A: Have caffeine

INTROVERTS SHOULDN’T HAVE CAFFEINE BEFORE BIG MEETINGS: Who doesn’t like a little caffeine jolt in the morning? A newly released book reveals that introverts preparing for an important morning event should lay off the coffee. But why? Author Brian Little explains that the brains of introverts and extroverts  respond differently to their environments. He says that extroverts are typically “under the optimal level” of alertness in regard to their surroundings, and so the caffeine nudges them up to the perfect level. However, introverts start out above the optimal level of eternalness, so the caffeine just sends them further away from it. Little says if you’re an introvert and you must fill the mug, “maybe stick with a nice cup of non-caffeinated tea instead.” (Newser)
