— 29% of American adults currently in a relationship say they celebrate Valentine’s Day by exchanging gifts or cards.
— 24% of Americans say the worst Valentine’s Day gift they have ever received was no gift at all.
— 43% of Americans say they’ve never received a bad Valentine’s Gift.
When asked “Thinking about your current relationship. Which ONE of the following statements best applies to you?” participants said the following:
— 41% – My partner always remembers to buy me a gift or card on Valentine’s Day
— 29% – My partner and I do not really celebrate Valentine’s Day by giving gifts or cards
— 14% – My partner sometimes remembers to buy me a gift or card for Valentine’s Day
— 9% – None of these
— 4% – This will be the first Valentine’s Day my partner and I will be together.
