New Years Resolutions! Ugh!

I’m not much on NY Resolutions. Don’t get me wrong! I make at least one NYR every year! The part that I’m “not much on” is actually keeping them or even remembering them after about the first week of January. This year I thought I would keep it simple and think of something that I would like to do that doesn’t include losing weight since that is usually what my NYR is all about. So…

In 2018 I vow to try and listen more. Listen to God, listen to my kids, my husband, my family and friends, coworkers, people that I meet while I’m out. Genuinely listen to what they have to say and try to shut off the constant voices in my head. My head has been so incredibly noisy lately which I think is part of the job I do and the fact that our family keeps growing, there’s always something else to think about that needs to get done later today or worries about something. However, I will attempt to shut down those voices when someone else is talking to me and I will listen to them.

What resolution did you make this year?

Sherry
