New VA Laws as of July 1st

Every year on July 1st, new laws are put into effect. The crazy thing is that there are so many of them and it’s not very well publicized, so most of us don’t know about them. However, it’s good to know at least the main laws.

The DMV has new laws regarding learner’s permits and cell phone usage.

Then there are the new laws regarding marriage, smoking, animals, social media, fire arms and education. Get familiar with them here.

Here’s the whole list, but it’s pretty confusing and there are a lot of them!!!

And just for the fun of it. How about some laws that are still on the books, but no one enforces them…thankfully! This article from the Virginian-Pilot from 2009 has some good ones.
