The main ones…
Monticello (discounted admission if you’re an Albemarle resident and you bring a guest) and don’t forget the Monticello Trail which is a fairly easy 4 mile walk (both ways) up to the Monticello Museum Shop.
Michie Tavern (free to most local residents in the city and the surrounding counties)
Montpelier (you can visit the grounds for free…walking trails, etc)
Exchange Hotel Museum in historic Gordonsville
Humpback Rock in Afton and the Visitor Center w/the walking trail (FREE). the picnic area is awesome too just a few miles up from the Visitor Center and it has an amazing hike to a beautiful overlook.
Swannanoah Castle in Afton
Blue Ridge Parkway in Afton
Luray Caverns, Endless Caverns and Grand Caverns. There is no shortage of caverns in the state.
