A: Your floor number

WHY IT MATTERS WHAT FLOOR YOUR APARTMENT IS ON: New research from the University of Bern in Switzerland finds the higher your floor number the longer your life expectancy is. Researchers found those who lived on the ground floor had a 40-percent greater chance of dyring from serious lung disease compared to those who lived on the eighth floor or higher. They also found, for heart disease, mortality rates were 35-percent greater among those who lived at ground level. The news isn’t all good for those who live up high, as increased sucicide rates were associated with those who lived up higher. Overall, those who live on the ground floor were found to have a 22-percent greater chance of dying earlier. To find this, researchers quantified the deaths of over 142-thousand apartment residents in Switzerland. (Daily Mail)
