Game Day Trolly Change

If you are going to the UVA vs Ball State game Saturday, CAT has some changes to their free trolly route. Here are the details from the Charlottesville Area Transit press release.

Charlottesville, Virginia… 9/30/2013…  Due to UVA’s game against Ball State, Charlottesville Area Transit (CAT) will detour the FREE Trolley on Saturday, October 5th. Bus stops along Alderman Road, McCormick Road, and portions of Jefferson Park Avenue will not be served.  The detour will begin at half time and will last until two hours post game.

During the detour, the FREE Trolley will follow Jefferson Park Avenue to Emmet Street where it will travel north until it reaches University Avenue.  At University Avenue, the FREE Trolley will resume its normal route path.

CAT apologizes in advance for any inconvenience to its customers.

This detour path will be repeated for all home UVA football games.  This includes the 10/19 game against Duke, the 10/26 game against Georgia Tech, the 11/2 game against Clemson, and the 11/30 game against Virginia Tech. It should also be noted that Routes 5, 7, and 8 will experience delays during these games as traffic is expected to be heavy.
