Food In Tubes

Who knows why my brain thinks of things? Today I have been pondering food in tubes. Maybe it’s because my grandson does nothing but eat food from tubes and pouches. Yogurt, apple sauce and baby food can all be found in tubes and it got me wondering what other foods we put in tubes.

A quick internet search really kind of grossed me out, because I found seafood in tubes ~ they call it “flavours of the sea in a tube”. Also found PB&J in a can called a Candwich. I think I can live with that one.

Food in tubes seems to be a thing overseas more than here in the States as referenced in this article by Megan Starr, “Tubes Are For More Than Just Toothpaste in Norway”, where we learn about mackerel and caviar in a tube.

So, the real question? Food in tubes? Yes or no?
