Facebook Is Messing W/Us Again

**A friend told me that Snopes is disputing some of the claims here, but I find it interesting that they don’t dispute everything and they say that it is common to agree to these terms and conditions when we download most apps. So, kind of curious what we’re agreeing to w/out even reading the terms and conditions. Just be aware.

My post from Friday, August 8, 2014…

I noticed the other day that my husband could not opt out of Messenger on Facebook when he was trying to send a private message to someone. I thought he was crazy b/c he couldn’t get out of it, but I tried to help him and I couldn’t. Now I know why. Facebook is FORCING us to get Messenger now. In other words, if you want to private message someone, you are forced to install Messenger in order to do that. Otherwise there is no private messaging! WHAT??? I found an article that gives some insight into just how invasive Messenger is. You can be the judge, but as for me, I will not download it. Here’s the info so that you will know what you need to do.

Also, there is an app that they say will help counteract the damage, but I encourage you to read the fine print before downloading and using this app too. It’s called Cyber Dust and you can search and download for free in the app store.
