Biking Across The Country

A friend of mine informed me that his niece was doing an amazing thing and that her travels would bring her to Charlottesville today. Of course I had to talk to her on the air today to find out more about what she was doing.

Her name is Kiersten Downs and she is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and is biking across the country to raise money for the Student Veterans of America. Her ride started on June 2nd in CA and will wrap up this coming Monday, August 5th, in Washington, DC. So far she has raised over $50,000 for the Student Veterans of America. She is going for $55,000. If you would like to help her reach her goal, you can donate and hear her story at www.bikingusa.net.

Interview with Kiersten Downs from this AM.
