I’ve been struggling with this blog post for almost a month now! It’s my yearly Women’s 4 Miler fundraising blog and I’m late getting it out.
I’m finding it really hard this time around to express how I feel about the Women’s 4 Miler and what it means to so many people dealing with a life altering cancer diagnosis. I’m having difficulty finding words to explain the hurt and the struggle and the physical and mental stress that cancer puts on individuals and their families. It’s very hard to express myself verbally or in writing with just the right words to ask for your help. I feel like I’ve said everything in previous years and frankly, today, I have no more words. Really, I’m just sad. I feel like, by this point, we all know the blackness of cancer whether we have personally gone through it, or we know someone that has. And I know that we can’t give up. We need money to fund research, early detection, education and care for those dealing with cancer.
Will you help give another year of life to someone’s sister? Mother? Daughter? Friend? And yes even our dad’s and brothers?
All you have to do is click on this link http://uvahf.convio.net/site/TR/Womens4Miler/General?px=1026040&pg=personal&fr_id=1100 and make your tax deductible donation.
Thank you!
