I can’t believe that I’ve never heard of this until now. I am the designated bathroom cleaner at my house and it’s not my favorite job, but now that I have this tip I am obsessed with cleaning the toilet. Ha!
I was at Charlottesville Sanitary Supply purchasing cleaning supplies and talking to John Vermillion. John told me that when I clean the toilet I could push all of the water out of the bowl and then put the cleaner in. It’s a trick to get the bowl cleaner b/c there’s no water to dilute the chemicals. So how do you do that?
I looked everywhere on YouTube and couldn’t find a DIY video for it so I will try and explain. I bought a toilet brush from CSS that is like a giant cotton ball on the end. It was less than $2. When you’re ready to clean, you flush the toilet and while the water is very low, you push the water that’s left in the bowl into the back hole with this cotton ball toilet brush. Once all the water is out you plug the hole with the toilet brush and place your cleaner. Let the cleaner sit for as long as you want and then brush it away! I’m definitely digging it.
