Charlottesville, VA (cvillerightnow.com): In what was an excellent season for UVA Volleyball, three premiere members of Coach Shannon Wells’ team were named to the 2024 Academic All-District team yesterday. Abby Tadder, Ashley Le, and Kate Johnson excelled both on and off the court for the Hoos.  First time nominees Le and Johnson, and Tadder, who is on her second academic all-district team, will now have a chance to become Academic All-Americans.  An announcement of any of them achieving that award will come in January, but the excellence of UVA Olympic Sports’ athletes in both their studies and athletic pursuits remains widespread and prominent.  The Volleyball team, on top of boasting its stellar scholars, earned 21 thrilling victories in 2024, and earned a bid to the National Invitational Volleyball Championship.
