CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The tip time for Virginia men’s basketball against North Carolina has been moved from 2 p.m. to noon Saturday due a potential winter storm impacting the Mid-Atlantic region this weekend.
In addition, the ceremony dedicating and naming the court in honor of former men’s basketball coach Tony Bennett has been postponed to Feb. 21.

Forecasts predict a possibility of significant snow and ice accumulation across the region for late Saturday into Sunday evening which could affect the return bus trip for the visiting Tar Heels. The decision to move the tip time comes from a collaborative effort with both institutions and the ACC office. A sold-out crowd is expected for the top 25 matchup.
