UVA Men’s LAX: Schutz and Wayer Earn Preseason All-American Honors from USILA

Charlottesville, VA (cvilleirightnow.com): Senior stalwarts of the UVA Men’s Lacrosse, midfielder Griffin Schutz and LSM Ben Wayer were named second-team preseason all-Americans by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA).  The midfielder had a fantastic junior campaign earning 35 points (23 goals and 12 assists).  This is his third preseason all-American selection, earning nods from both Inside Lacrosse and USA Lacrosse.  Wayer was one of the best face-off specialists in the ACC last year, averaging 5.44 ground balls per game, and totaling 98 on the season.  Both will be in action against Colgate on Friday as part of the #5 Virginia Men’s Lacrosse Team opening the 2025 season on Grounds.
