CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW)- The bridge over Whiteside Branch on Stillhouse Creek Road in Albemarle County will be closed by the Virginia Department of Transportation on April 6, according to a release.

VDOT will replace the existing bridge at the site in process anticipated to affect traffic in the area until May 15.

Stillhouse Creek Road will be closed to through traffic at the intersection between it and Plank Road.  The detour that will connect Stillhouse Creek Road to Plank Road will require drivers turn onto Burnt Mountain Road, follow it as it turns into Craigs Store Road, until reaching Plank Road.

VDOT message boards will be placed around construction to inform drivers of the new patterns.
