Six Arrested Following Drug Task Force Operation on Old Brook Road

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – A search warrant executed by the 3A Regional Drug and Gang Task Force on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, led to six arrests in the 1600 block of Old Brook Road in Albemarle County. The operation involved schedule II narcotics seizures and resulted in charges for drug and firearm offenses, as well as outstanding shoplifting warrants.

Eyewitness Mason Pickett reported that around 1 p.m., law enforcement activity appeared focused on a single residence. He observed about five individuals seated outside, two or three of whom appeared to be handcuffed. Uniformed and plainclothes officers, some in unmarked SUVs, remained at the scene. A military-style vehicle initially used during the operation had already departed by that time.

Arrests and charges include:

  • Murray L. Hill, 68, of Charlottesville: possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of a firearm while in possession of schedule II narcotics.
  • Garnett O. Jones, 56, of Charlottesville: possession of cocaine.
  • Antonio R. Lee, 54, of Charlottesville: possession of cocaine and possession of ammunition by a felon.
  • Quinton A. Ragland, 47, of Charlottesville: possession with intent to distribute narcotics.
  • Lisa M. Serrano, 38, and Kimberly E. Serrano, 46, both of Barboursville: taken into custody on outstanding shoplifting warrants from the City of Charlottesville.

Hill, Lee, and Ragland remain in custody without bond at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail, while Jones was released on an unsecured bond.

The 3A Regional Drug and Gang Task Force includes the Albemarle County Police Department, Charlottesville Police Department, UVA Police Department, Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office, Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Virginia State Police, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
