CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The administrator who began work as Page County Schools Superintendent just four months ago is taking what is described as an “extended and unexpected” leave of absence.

Dr. Bryan Huber, who served for seven years as Assistant Superintendent in Greene County before moving to Page as Superintendent of Instruction, only just became the Superintendent July 1.

A statement said, “The School Board wishes Dr. Huber the very best while he is on leave”, and names Dr. Paul Johnson as Acting Superintendent.

No reason is given for Dr. Huber’s leave.

Prior to his tenures in Greene and Page counties, Huber had been a math teacher and assistant principal in Augusta County over an education career spanning 18 years.
