CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Louisa County is offering a no-reserve online auction of surplus county vehicles and equipment through Purple Wave Auction’s online marketplace. The auction offers individuals, small businesses, and local contractors the opportunity to bid on a variety of well-maintained county fleet assets.

Items currently listed include a range of passenger vehicles and utility units previously used by the county, such as Dodge Charger police cars, Chevrolet Tahoe and Ford Explorer SUVs, Ford F-150 pickup trucks, and additional surplus transport vehicles. All items are available for review and bidding on Purple Wave’s website at https://www.purplewave.com/spotlight/louisa-county. The auction closing date is Tuesday, February 3, 2026, and all items will sell to the highest bidder regardless of price.
