MIAMI, FL (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The family of former University of Virginia football player D’Sean Perry is working to raise $20,000 to provide bikes for kids in South Florida, and they’re hoping to meet their goal by Monday. Before his passing in November 2022, Perry was known for his involvement in the community and his dedication to helping young people. His family is now continuing that mission through this annual bike drive for local children. The effort, organized through the D’Sean Emir Perry Spirit of Cavaliers Foundation, has already brought in about $11,000 as of Friday. The bike giveaway is set to take place on December 23 at the Second Baptist Church in Miami, where Perry grew up.  Jonathan Cotten of the Good Feet Store, who has been sharing updates on social media, says his company will match every donation, dollar for dollar, up to $5,000. The idea is to help push the total over the $20,000 mark. Those interested in supporting the cause can still donate online, and organizers say any amount helps.
