Curbside Christmas Tree Collection Announced for Charlottesville Residents

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Charlottesville Public Works will offer curbside pickup of Christmas and seasonal trees during the week of January 13. Residents are asked to place their trees at the curb by 7 a.m. on Monday, January 13, with all decorations, stands, and nails removed. The program is limited to Christmas and seasonal trees only, and no yard waste will be collected. Trees will be taken to Darden Towe Park for chipping, along with trees collected by Albemarle County at their drop-off sites. The resulting mulch will be provided to the public at no cost beginning Monday, January 20 at Darden Towe Park and Claudius Crozet Park.
