CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – City Council Tuesday night in an action item decides on an aerial easement that will allow placement of three cranes to build the Verve Charlottesville high-rise apartment building at 409 Stadium Road. Subtext Acquisitions LLC, a student housing developer, is set to build a 12-story, nearly 730-thousand square feet facility… which is its largest development yet. It will have over 1300 beds and 25,000 square-feet of amenities when completed in 2027. The ballasts of the cranes would swing over the airspace of City right-of-way located along Stadium Road, Montebello Circle, and Jefferson Park Avenue. However, the actual loads the cranes handle will be over the construction site only. The easement is not anticipated exceeding a period of five years.
