CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Albemarle County is inviting residents next week to what they call the “first of many AC44 Lunch & Learn” events as the county updates its comprehensive plan. Thursday the 21st, this will be a noon-to-1pm online Zoom meeting where county staff will start with a short presentation, followed by plenty of questions, on development areas land use. At this meeting, they’ll delve into specific land use topics such as the future land use map and the importance of “activity centers” in promoting density and multimodal transportation. This is all part of shaping what Albemarle County communities are to look like in 2044, and seeking resident input along the way.
