The Cavalier Women run away from UNC 82-70

(CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA-WINA)  The Cavalier Women earned another impressive ACC win at home on Thursday night, defeating North Carolina 82-70 at the John Paul Jones Arena.  The Cavalier Women jumped out early, hitting six three pointers in the first half en route to a 47-32 halftime lead.  Once the Hoos took control, even though they were tested, they never relinquished the lead in the second half.  Virginia held North Carolina to zero fast break points defensively and they had five players in double figures offensively.  Virginia was led by Aaliyah Huland-El with 19 points, including 12 in the first half.  Virginia improves to 14-7 overall and 7-1 in the ACC.   Listen to post game reaction below:
