CPD investigating shots fired along Preston, and possible related crash on Prospect Avenue

CHARLOTTESVILLE (WINA) – Charlottesville Police are out in the vicinity of Preston Avenue for a report of shots fired between Washington Park and Trinity Episcopal Church. In addition, CPD cleared a crash in the 700 block of Prospect Avenue they said was possibly related. The 1100 and 1200 block of Preston is shut down currently for evidence collection, but there are no reported injuries at this time.

A suspect vehicle was given as a black Nissan Sentra.

Expect heavy police presence on Preston.
