(CHARLOTTESVILLE – WINA)   A lawyer from Charlottesville is accused of trying to extort $200 million from a major company.   Timothy Litzenburg is involved in litigation against the Monsanto Corporation over health risks that are associated with a weed killer called “Roundup.”

Federal prosecutors say Litzenburg threatened to inflict “substantial financial and reputational harm” if the company didn’t meet his $200 million demand.   He also represented two sisters who were injured after the 2017 Unite the Right Rally.
