(CHARLOTTESVILLE – WINA) A dining facility at the University of Virginia has had a major transformation, and it now specializes in salads, fresh produce, and grains. It’s called “The Castle” and it started serving UVA students hamburgers, cheeseburgers, bacon, and similar fare in 1955.
The dining spot gets its name from its location on the bottom floor of the Bonnycastle Dorm, which is part of UVA’s McCormick Road housing area. Thanks to the overhaul of its menu, The Castle is now a three-star certified green restaurant.
