Meet at the Rail Trail Trailhead behind the courthouse in Palmyra. There will be great views of the Rivanna as we look down from this trail high above the river. What wildlife live in the river and on the banks? What wildlife come to fish in the river? What plants and trees grow in a river environment? Come find out as we stroll for about a mile on this trail with gentle inclines.

Children MUST be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. Please wear appropriate hiking attire, good walking shoes, no flip-flops and no crocs! Please bring a full water bottle and a snack.
