The Glass Slipper Boutique is a ministry of Effort Church in Fluvanna County that started in 2013 with a vision of assisting girls.  Its mission is to help girls overcome financial obstacles related to their high school prom experience by collecting new and gently-worn formal dresses and accessories, as well as offering those items at nominal prices.  The objective is to create a loving, caring and respectful environment for each young woman to shop for a special prom dress of her choice.  The proceeds from the prom dress shopping events fund this scholarship for a female student in good standing attending Piedmont Virginia Community College or a trade school after graduation.

The Glass Slipper Boutique takes donations of short/long dressy type of dresses NEW or gently used ranging from size 0 – 40 above, shoes, purses, jewelry and so much more to assist girls going to Homecomings, Proms, dressy events, weddings, and so many other events that a dress maybe needed throughout the year.  We are located at 7820 Thomas Jefferson Pkwy, Palmyra, VA 22963 (go to 2nd driveway on Lake Monticello Road, Wednesdays/Thursdays 5:30-7:00pm and Sundays 2:00-4:00pm).  The Effort Church office takes donations each business day from 9:00-4:00pm Monday – Friday.

Each year a scholarship is given to a FLUCO senior going to community college or trade school and this year we are branching out to another area high school with more in 2024. Stay tuned to FACEBOOK page for more information regarding a SPRING VENDOR EVENT to help sponsor our END OF YEAR scholarships.

This year, we are searching for a local business owner willing to donate a space for this spectacular mission project to get the word out to the community and abroad to spread the WORD regarding this amazing HIDDEN GEM in Fluvanna County.
