The Sound Justice Lab and the Disability Studies Initiative at UVA present a screening of Patrice: The Movie, a “documentary rom-com” about disability and marriage equality. The film tells the story of a couple, Patrice and Garry, who want to get married but risk losing their government benefits if they do.
Patrice: The Movie (2024), dir. Ted Passon ~ Join us for a post-screening conversation with C’ville-based composer, Molly Joyce, who wrote the music for the film; as well as local disability advocate, Jess Walters; and artist-lawyer, Amy Woolard.
