John Spear Band with Billy & The Backbeats

Nominated for the prestigious Blues Blast Magazine award for best Live Blues Recording of 2016, the Jon Spear Band performs regularly in the mid-Atlantic area where it has entertained appreciative audiences at numerous outdoor festivals, clubs, and other popular venues for the past 10 years.   The band is known primarily for its award-winning original songs, as well as its red-hot live shows and unique arrangements of blues standards which have been heard on over 100 stations worldwide and charted in the US, France, UK, Spain, and Australia.  The band has also competed in the 31st and 33rd International Blues Challenges in Memphis, where its Live Music Is Better CD was a finalist in the “Best Self-Produced CD” category.  The band’s members are Jon Spear (guitar and vocals), Andy Burdetsky (bass and vocals), John Stubblefield (drums and vocals) and Dara James (lead vocals and guitar plus harmonica).
